MRF General Forum

TheMRF General Forum is devoted to information, documentation, discussions and other materials relating to minerals and metals that cut across the MRF sections on Environment and Development.

For an overview of sustainable development issues that have a potential impact on the management of mineral resources, see Minerals and Agenda 21. For a description of the activities of the United Nations and its agencies in the area of mineral resources see UN Activities.

Education through distance learning is increasingly becoming available
for mining and related sustainable development subjects. Some examples of this, in English and Spanish, can be found in the section on Distance Learning.
