Journals The following academic journals and periodicals feature
articles on environmental, social economic considerations relating to
mineral resource development. Some of these are freely available on the
Internet, others only by paid subscription.
Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law The Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law is produced by the International Bar Association and co-sponsored by the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP). The Journal deals with the legal issues of natural resources (mining, forestry and water) and energy (oil, gas, electricity, non-conventional energy, nuclear and coal) development, trade, transport and finance. It is published quaterly, with the issue information, article abstracts and ordering information available from the International Bar Association website.

Natural Resources Forum The Natural Resources Forum is a journal produced by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and published by Blackwell Publishers. The Forum examines the sustainable development and management of natural resources, and the socio-economic aspects of sustainable development of water, energy and mineral resources with a developing country focus. Subscriptions are available through Blackwell Publishers. Until December 2001 the journal was published by Elsevier. The February 2002 issue was dedicated to mineral resource issues. A number of articles from the journal are available for download as Adobe PDF, including:
Resources Policy: The International Journal of Minerals Policy and Economics Resources Policy is an international journal devoted to minerals policy and economics, aimed at economists and decision makers in academia, government, and industry. Topics include resource availability, exploration and development, production, consumption, markets and price formation, international trade, environmental policy and management, sustainability, taxation, investment, and finance. A recent special issue focused on sustainable development. The journal is published quaterly by Elsevier
Science Ltd and is available by subscription only. A free sample copy
is available for download from the Elsevier
site.
The European Journal of Mineral Processing and Environmental Protection An international journal devoted to innovation and developments in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy and environmental protection. The journal focuses on research topics involving all aspects of comminution, seperation, concentration, processing, waste treatment and environmental protection as they relate to the mineral processing industry. Abstracts of articles and some full issues are available for download. The website has an extensive series of links to universities specialising in the minerals and minerals companies worldwide.
