Welcome to the Networking Project for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.

The NRSD networking project aims to develop a network, and subsequently networking activities, involving individuals interested in natural resources and related sustainable development issues. The current focus of the project is on mineral resources but the database underlying the network includes individuals interested in other resources and in related issues such as environment, community development, mineral economies, etc. The project is managed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) under Project M of the United Nations Development Account.

The networking project, which is work in progress, presently allows registered members to discover and contact other members, including groups of members, based on specific criteria. Currently these criteria are: type of organization (governmental, industry, academia, NGO, etc.) and regional location (Africa, Asia/Pacific, etc.).

Registration is free and simple, and members are presently admitted at the discretion of UNCTAD. Registered members are expected to respect privacy in communicating with other members and notably to discontinue communication if so requested by a particular member.

To register as a member, please complete and submit the registration form. The details you supply in this form will be entered in the networking database and a specific username and password, which may changed subsequently, will be sent to the e-mail address that you have supplied in the form. The personal information you supply will NOT be made available to third parties (other than registered members of the networking project).
